Is this? Her first release since the Melodifestivalen triumph ‘Little Tot’? Yes it is!
And what does a ‘Little Tot’ follow-up sound like? A lot more chill, of course. On her new single ‘Jealous’, Dotter comes to terms with the green-eyed monster – but channels those feelings into acceptance and reflection rather than pure rage.
And the music? Something of a step outside from Dotter’s trademark sound in that the elaborate soundscape we normally hear in her tunes has been replaced by an altogether more laidback feel. Although with a hint of decadence still shining through in the production, this is perhaps more ‘luxuriating’ than it is ‘laidback’. She’s still Dotter, after all.
