Who’s this chap then?! Audun entered Norwegian Idol back in 2006, finished in 11th place, only to finally re-emerge on The Voice (Norway) last year. If at first you don’t succeed, etc etc. By the way – The Voice of Norway has Lene from Aqua and Espen Lind amongst its mentors. Amazing.
And this is his first single? It looks that way – it’s the only one of his available on Spotify and iTunes anyway. It was released last week and got to number 2 on Norwegian iTunes.
And what is it? It’s actually a cover of a song – one that he performed on The Voice stage last year. Norwegian artist Anne Grete Preus released it first, on her 1998 album ‘Mosaikk’.
Is it a Christmas song? Unofficially, yes. Let’s call it a Winter song. It mentions snow quite a lot. And just look at him on that single cover. He’s also doing the Christmas concert circuit with it this year.
