It heralded a change in sound for the former Idol winner, and went on to become a massive hit for her in Norway. It also got a lot of international music blogs very excited about her too. Today she finally follows it up with new single ‘Hyde’.
What’s it like? A stunner of a song, this one. Downbeat and chilled out, yet totally captivating thanks to Astrid’s ph’nom vocal and a soulful stop-start-stop-start synth track that subtly breaks into euphoria before you can realise what’s happening and then oh God it’s all over. WHAT a song. It’s blatantly going to elevate her career onto the next level. And we can only imagine what THAT’s going to sound like.
