Just a quick note to say that last night’s Julgalan 2010 was several shades of AMAZING! If you get the chance to go next year, grab it, take it, and GO! Last night we witnessed;
- Alcazar, Pernilla Wahlgren, Velvet, Darin, and Brolle open the show with Black Eyed Peas’ ‘I Gotta Feelin’
- Andreas Lundstedt doing Nina Simone’s ‘Feelin Good’ (like X Factor big band week, but actually good!)
- Velvet, Pernilla, and the Alcazar girls performing a Moulin Rouge medley, with costumes to match, led by Andreas launching into ‘Because We Can Can’
- Velvet, Pernilla, and the Alcazar girls also did a piano ballad version of Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ AND a Tina Turner medley
- Velvet performed a solo version of Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl In The World’ (actual bliss!)
Plus much much more besides, with all of the artists singing a mixture of their own songs and other people’s hits. The above were only the highlights, it was a 90 minute show. Oh, and afterwards Anders Bagge was DJing in the venue which then turned into a nightclub.
