Sarah Dawn Finer is back with a new single which was released on Monday. Her first in what’s been far too long a period. ‘Tis the beginning of many new songs to come though – as she’ll be releasing her new album (in Swedish) in the coming months, one that she’s been working on with Mauro Scocco.
New single is the fabulously titled ‘Nu Vet Du Hur Det Känns’ (Now You Know How It Feels). It just reads so….cutting, doesn’t it?
The reaction it’s had has been quite something so far. Within hours of its release it was already number 1 on Swedish iTunes. And any feedback we’ve read about the song online has been universally positive. And rightly so, too. It’s a beautiful number. Slightly different from the ballads we all know and love from Sarah, in that it comes with a fair bit of latin rhythm injected into it.
Perfectly timed, she gave the first TV performance of it at this evening’s Allsång På Skansen. A gorgeous performance that did the song tremendous justice. So don’t expect it to be going anywhere from that number 1 slot on iTunes in the near future.
