Roxette: ‘The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye’ (Bassflow Remake)

Swedish pop legends have today put out a very special version of their new single ‘The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye’. It’s a Bassflow remix.

Clearly they’re sticking to the great formula of their previous album ‘Charm School’. One of that album’s highlights ‘Speak To Me’ also got selected to be given a Bassflow makeover last year, to some magnificent results.

Bassflow (aka Peter Boström – the man behind Loreen’s ‘Eurphoria’) turns in another winning production on ‘The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye’. Atmospheric balladry is definitely one of his party pieces, and he instantly elevates this song into the same standard of some of Roxette’s very own great atmospheric ballads of the past – this is definitely up there with ‘I Wish I Could Fly’, for example.
