Runner up of the most recent series of Swedish Idol (sorry Robin, we’ll stop using that tag eventually) Robin Stjernberg returns to the music release schedules this week, with – a music release!
It’s his new single ‘Scars’. And do you know what? This Robin Stjernberg character is turning into one of those artists that we’re liking more and more with each release. Previous single ‘On My Mind‘ was pretty ace, and new single ‘Scars’ follows that mold. Not just in that it’s also ace, but it’s another melodic poprock track with a soaring chorus. A soaring chorus that Robin pulls off with impressive ease thanks to that fantastic voice of his.
This is feelgood, deliciously cheesy pop music that puts a lot of US artists treading a similar genre and sound to absolute shame. Well, maybe not ABSOLUTE shame, but y’know – they’d probably listen and want it for themselves, that sort of thing.
‘Scars’ is released tomorrow in Sweden, and we assume around the rest of the world too, since his last single got a worldwide release. Here he is premiering the song on Swedish TV on Sunday night.
