Iceland’s long reigning Prince of a certain kind of Pop has released a new single and video.
It’s Paul Oscar with ‘Megi það Byrja Með Mér’ (May It Begin With Me). And yes, you HAVE already seen him on these pages in the last month or so peddling another new single of his. But that was a Christmas track and this is not.
This is instead a continuation in the direction that Mr Oscar has been going in for the duration of his career – dance tunage. A house production with a bassline that seems to pay a slight homage to the last nineties – ‘Now Phats What I Small Music’! The chorus is probably quite sing-a-long too, but as it’s in Icelandic, we’re not even going to attempt to put that theory to the test.
No, no – we’ll just be listening. And jolly well enjoying it too;
