90s Superheroes Daze have returned this week, and released their first single in ELEVEN years – ‘Fool Me’.

The Danish Europoppers had some corking tunes back in the day, including ‘Superhero‘, ‘Tamagotchi (Together Forever)‘, and ‘2nd Chance‘. And while they were clearly overshadowed in the popularity stakes by their fellow Danes who blew up at the same time, Aqua, their achievements and record sales were quite amazing – in their native Denmark especially, and sometimes internationally too.

They’ve been bopping around on We Love the 90s tours across Scandinavia for a little while now, but we’ve always been hoping for some new music from them. And this week, we finally got our wish when they released new single ‘Fool Me’ – their first release since 2001.

In case you hadn’t guessed from the subtle messaging on the single sleeve above, ‘Fool Me’ is quite summer-tastic. It’s less HI-NRG than a lot of their previous output, and instead chooses to fit seamlessly alongside so much of the pan European dance music of today. They’ve adapted remarkably well, and the confidence they have in their production shows via the large portion of the song that’s set aside to letting the instrumental shine.

The single has received only a Scandinavian release so far, but we’ve asked Daze if we could stream a lengthy preview right here, so that everyone else can have a listen to what it sounds like.

And the kind souls obliged, so here it is;

Let’s hope we don’t have to wait another eleven years for the next single.
