On top of her current single, ’You Woke My Heart’ in Finland, Pandora is now releasing another new track around Europe. This time it’s ‘Why’ featuring a young female vocalist called Stacy, who participated in the 2010 New Wave international music contest. It’s a brand new recording which merges Pandora’s own 1996 hit ‘Why’, with Orbital’s classic track from the 90’s, ‘Magistral’. It’s the familiar vocal in the chorus mixed in with new rapped verses from Stacy, and set to Orbital’s chill-out production. And below you can see Pandora perform the song on Finnish TV with Stacy.
Pandora also released her most recent album in Finland yesterday. It’s called ‘Head Up High’ and comprises 14 songs including ‘You Woke My Heart’ and her most recent Swedish hit singles, ‘You Believed’, ‘Kitchy Kitchy’ (which is AMAZING!), and ‘Call Me’. Artwork and tracklisting below. There’s no word yet on when the album will receive an international release, but we imagine it won’t be too long.
How fab that Pandora is still making ace dance music after all these years! And long may she continue!
