Nicole Sabouné is back this week with a new single and video. ‘Win This Life’, her fourth release before we finally get that debut album of hers in January – ‘Must Exist’.
‘Win This Life’ is like a less pounding, dreamier sounding, and more laidback version of her older hits ‘I Surrender’ and ‘Conquer Or Suffer’. It’s almost a bit MOR actually, but given a darker edge from the natural theatre rock gloss that she exudes sonically on all of her songs. She’s sounding a bit Karin Dreijer (The Knife/Fever Ray) in the ol’ vocal department at times on this one. And while it’s not her best to date (it’ll be hard to beat ‘Conquer Or Suffer’), it IS her most radio friendly.
