We’ve fallen a little bit in love with a new track that was released this week.

It’s by Danish producer Morten Breum and Danish/Norwegian production duo Pegboard Nerds. They’ve done something quite magnificent. They’ve taken an old Danish ballad from the 80’s, Anne Linnet’s ‘Ingen Anden Drøm’, sampled it, and dubstepped it!

Sensibly though, they haven’t tampered with the original vocals too much, and give them plenty of time and space to breathe on the track, before being interspersed with some harsh and sparse dubstep sounds acting as a chorus. The resulting song means that Anne’s vocals sound more haunting than ever, and give the ensuing breakdown maximum impact – there’s even an eerie build-up between the two parts.

You can listen to the song in full here.

And check out Anne Linnet’s original version here.

We’re a little bit obsessed and looking forward to the 9 minute extended remix!
