She’s a Swedish born and raised (to Eritrean heritage) singer and songwriter who has spent her most recent years living in New York and is now heading home to focus on music. She’ll be releasing it through her own label. BALLS n DRESS.
‘Gold Digga’ finds Sa’ra sounding something like a cross between MØ and Soso. Trippy and downbeat electro with a triumphantly beautiful pop melody going on over the top of it, and delivered by a jaded vocal. This one’s so good it’s got two choruses. And a cool middle eight breakdown. And a bizarre intro and outro. Love.
