The last 7 participants of MGP 2010 have been announced. A few interesting names, but nothing is up there with Lene Alexandra and Venke Knutson for us!

2: Fred Endresen – Barracs on the hill (Fred Endresen, Olaf Owre)
3: Belinda Braza – Million Dollar Baby (Robin Nordahl, Frode Andersen & Gerard James Borg)
4: Didrik Solli-Tangen – My heart is yours (Hanne Sorvaag & Fredrik Kempe)
5: The Diamond – European girl (Matias Tellez, Hakon Njoten & Axel Vindenes)
6: Karoline Garfjell – Tokyo night (Aggie Peterson)
7: A1 – Don’t want to lose you again (Ben Adams, Mark Read, Christian Ingebrigtsen, David Eriksen)
British boyband a1 (oh Christian!) are in there with a song called ‘Don’t Wanna Lose You Again’. We’re hopeful that it’s gonna be a catchy sort but are resigned to the fact that it’ll probably be more ‘Caught In The Middle’ than ‘Be The First To Believe’! Mira Craig enters as an artist, two years after winning MGP as a songwriter – she composed Maria Haukaas Storeng’s ‘Hold On Be Strong’. Mira has composed her own song this time around. And with Maria taking part in the competition too, it’ll be interesting if they come face to face in the final!
Didrik Solli-Tangen is taking part with a ballad composed by Fredrik Kempe and Hannah Sorvaag – two of our favourite songwriters. Didrik is an opera singer, and the last time Fredrik composed a track for an opera singer, we got ‘La Voix’ by Malena Ernman! Karoline Garfjell seems interesting – she is an Idol graduate gone electro, which of course is the same path that brought us Margaret Berger. And she does look quite ‘pop’ doesn’t she?!
Belinda Braza looks like fun too!
All the fun of MGP kicks off on Saturday January 9th. And the artists above will compete in Heat 3 on Saturday January 23rd.
