‘Tis a brand new Magnus Carlsson single!
Ahead of the release of his new album, ‘Pop Galaxy’, next week, here’s the accompanying single, ‘The Best In Me’. Now, we all know that 80’s music has been sampled and paid tribute to before in modern pop – but this takes the practice to new levels! It sounds like it actually WAS made in the 80’s! It’s very PWL, and sounds a lot like Bananarama’s ‘Love In The First Degree’. Although the Pitchline production is still obvious – you can hear the ”ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh” bits that they also put in Velvet’s ‘Come Into The Night’.
It’s catchy, it’s camp, and it’s very Magnus Carlsson. Have a look below.
