The Disney Channel across Scandinavia are this month launching a Swedish version of their TV show, Violetta. And with it comes its very own theme song, which was released today.
Linnea Källström is the 17 year old starlet who gets to sing the theme tune of the Swedish show (she’s not the actress who plays Violetta though). She sings ‘I Min Värld’ – a Swedish language version of the ‘In My Own World’ song that the Americans are already enjoying.
This may be too sugary sweet for some of you. Hell, even we’re gagging slightly. But we couldn’t not post about it here. If the saccharine dancepop production entices the young Swedish kids watching telly, into pop music, then Swedish pop lives on another generation. And we all want that don’t we? Besides, the Disney Channel across Scandinavia has helped launch its fair share of the Scandipopstars we know and love today, lest we forget. Eric Saade, anyone? Let’s welcome Linnea Källström to our fold too.
