Le Kid, with ZERO SLEEP after last night’s release party for ‘Oh Alright’, headed to Nyhetsmorgon at 3.30am this morning to finally get their overdue chance to wow Swedish breakfast TV viewers. And being the utter professionals they are, there was neither an under-eye bag or an exhausted frown anywhere in sight!
They performed two songs, ‘We Are The Drums’ and ‘Mercy Mercy’. ‘Twas the first time that television viewers will have been gifted with the sight and sound of their current single being performed. But hopefully there’ll be more televised sights and sounds to come in the future…..
So the album was released in Sweden yesterday, and as we said above, the album release party took place last night. We went along to celebrate this milestone in pop music, and watched in subconscious grin struck glee as the band performed a big set of tracks from the album – ‘We Are The Drums’, ‘Mercy Mercy’, ‘Oh My God’, ‘America’, ‘We Should Go Home Together’, ‘Kiss Me’ (which ended in a super cute lip clinch between Johanna and Helena!), and ‘Bigger Than Jesus’, which was mixed in with their take on Mika’s ‘Relax (Take It Easy)’. Brilliant gig, great night, AND we got to take home one of those infamous Le Kid branded condoms! Ridiculous/Amazing.
