New single from an Idol runner-up alert! One of our favourite alerts to get.
Alice Svensson participated in the most recent series of Idol in Sweden and lost out to winner Kevin Borg. And now she’s gotten round to releasing her debut single, ‘Lady Luck’ which has been bobbing around the Swedish charts for the past few weeks. She sounds like a poppier version of Amanda Jenssen, and a more grown up Amy Diamond. It’s unlikely that it’ll become a massive hit, but we do quite like it and welcome a few more singles from this nice young girl. This sixties-pastiche pop thing is getting a tad tired though. When is nineties-Max Martin-pastiche pop going to come into fashion?!
