Krista Siegfrids shot back with a new single this week, ‘Can You See Me’. It’s a massive change of pace from from when we saw her represent her country Finland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, with the memorable ‘Marry Me’. A change of pace in that it’s not fucking mental. It is in fact, a ballad. And a very good ballad at that. She sounds a bit first-album-era Diana Vickers at the beginning, but an emotional vocal soon turns it into a belter. In ballad terms anyway.

It’s certainly a far cry from “WHOAH-OH-WHOAH-OH A-DING-DONG” isn’t it? And Finland has responded with a resounding YES – sending it to number 1 on their iTunes chart straight away. It’s currently at number 3.

Single and video below. And it’s been released outside of her native Finland too, if you fancy it.

Plus, if you still haven’t heard her album ‘Ding Dong’ (which features ‘Can You See Me’, ‘Marry Me’, and ‘Amen‘), you quite frankly haven’t lived. It’s available on CD from our store.
