Marina Schiptjenko of BWO fame and noriety this week released a lengthy preview of some new music that she’s been doing with Julian Brandt.
They say it’s a first taste of the forthcoming Julian & Marian EP, ‘Distance’ (more info on their first EP released this year, here), but really it sounds more like it wants to be their unofficial Christmas single. It sounds like a Saint Etienne Christmas single taking a hit of industrial strength poppers and then looking to The Sound of Arrows for some inspiration. ‘Tis the season to be jolly, and all that.
It’s the best thing we’ve heard from Julian & Marina so far. And if they’re going in this direction for their second EP, we’re gonna be needing some of those aforementioned industrial strength poppers please.
