After the pleasantly surprising success of Aqua‘s comeback in Scandinavia, the Greatest Hits will now be released in the UK!!! Lead single ‘Back to the 80’s’ was a number 1 hit in Denmark, went top 5 in Norway, and is currently climbing up the Swedish charts too. Their Greatest Hits album has also been a number 1 and a big seller and so it’ll now receive a UK release on September 21st, along with most of the rest of Europe. On top of this, Universal Music have decided to give it a good push, and so they’ve sent ‘Back to the 80’s’ to UK music television. It’s already getting rotation on The Box and Clubland TV. There’s no word yet on whether or not it’ll get a single release, but that’s hardly relevant anymore these days. When the Greatest Hits album is released here, the song will be available as an individual download for anyone who wants to get their hands on it.
One final thing worth mentioning too; it’s 99% definite that they actually will be coming to the UK for a special event that every amazing pop act from the late 90’s has taken part in at some stage in their careers!!!
