Sveavägen. Isn’t that a street? Not just any street, but one of the largest and most iconic streets in Stockholm. And now it’s also the name of a Swedish artist who has just released her debut single, ‘Det Var Då, Det Var Det’.
And who is she? Well it appears to be the new artist moniker of SVEA, whom we’ve featured on these very pages plenty of times before. Perhaps she’s adopting this moniker for her Swedish-language releases, and will continue to release English-language music as SVEA – in much the same way as fellow Swede Maia Wright has done recently as Junie.
And what’s the song like? Super-charming pop with plenty of pep and even more spring in its step. It comes with a chant-along chorus, should you take the notion.
