Who’s this? THIS is Steele. She’s from Stockholm and she this week releases her debut single ‘Fade’. It’s a mightily exciting introduction that caught our ears immediately.
What’s it like? A dark and atmospheric synth track that moonlights as something a little bit more uplifting and melodic once you reach the final minute and a sense of familiarity. We LOVE a bit of OTT drama in our pop, and this song has it in spades. She cites her influences as Portishead, Massive Attack, and Björk. And yeah – we get that.
