Ok who’s this? Snoh, full name Snoh Aalegra, is a Swedish r&b singer who has just launched and who we think you should take a listen to. You can read more about her in her interview with Wonderland Magazine.
What’s the song I should listen to first? Well here’s where it gets a little odd. Our own personal favourite song is ‘Fire’s All Around You’. That was the song that she introduced herself via back in October. But the first EP which she’s just released, ‘There Will Be Sunshine’, doesn’t actually include that song. Oh well – it’s still online and it’s a free download too. So we’d say check it out first (below) and then move on to the EP (also below). ‘Fire’s All Around You’ is gorgeous. Like Lana Del Rey doing a bit of stripped back trip-hop.
But the EP’s good too, right? It is. The first two tracks are a bit r&b for our taste (which is fair enough, as that’s her genre), but it gets more pop after that. We really like her.
