Finnish artist Lyel came out with a monster of a synthpop song over the weekend. It’s ‘Shadow’, her third single (after ‘Raven’ and ‘Waterproof’). She describes it as “haunting”, and “with a touch of the Nordic winter breeze”, which is about right. Airy vocals and pop melodies are darkened by a more industrial beat. The single is only on Soundcloud for now, but gets released everywhere this Friday.
