A new super group comprised of the members of three other super groups.
Heroes are Felix and Märta from Le Kid, Anders Hansson of Dream Beats, and Tamer and Christie of the now defunct The Face.
They’ve all gotten together to launch this new outfit, and of course with that comes an introductory track. And as luck, good sense, and an obvious eventuality (given the folk behind it) would have it, it’s a pretty damn good introductory track. A cover version of ‘First Be A Woman’ (Leonore O’Malley, Gloria Gaynor). A funked up, dramatised, camped out version of ‘First Be A Woman’. The fact that it’s a cover version of course doesn’t give much of a clue as to what Heroes will turn out sounding like once they start releasing their original tunes. But good Christ – the fact that they’ve chosen to cover this one over any other, and done this with it, really does give a pretty good indication that they’re going to be quite fabulous, doesn’t it?
First original single ‘March to My Own Beat’ will follow later this Summer.
