This is glorious. The debut single from Swedish Idol graduate Frans Walfridsson – ‘Emergency Call’. Written together with Miss Li and the songwriting collective that she’s a part of, Swedish Attack, it’s a soulful synthpop heart-wrencher. That chorus is amazing. And his vocal delivery of it from the end of the second chorus in particular, is quite exciting in terms of what we can expect to come from him. Right now there’s undoubtedly a whole sea of mediocrity on the new release list every week. ‘Emergency Call’ is one of the songs that reminds us all that pop music is brilliant. Embrace the good stuff;
