Common sense, good taste in music, and pop justice reigned in Iceland on Saturday night! Our favourite song of the Eurovision season so far, ‘Je Ne Sais Quoi’ by Hera Bjork, triumphed in the third and final heat of the country’s competition to find their 2010 representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. The grand final takes place there on February 6th.
Hera managed to put in a stellar performance on the night, delivering vocals that were of an equal standard to those recorded on the studio version. There were even a few high notes braved, and achieved, that aren’t on the studio version! And she also managed a semi dance routine. Well, more of a stroll around the stage, but it was choreographed nonetheless!
This has to win the Icelandic final! Please, please, please!
