The whole thing has been put together by Magnus Carlsson. We’ve since learned that he’s been crafting this Christmas album oh so carefully. Choosing some of his favourite seasonal songs by some of his favourite artists. And if it’s a case that there was an artist he liked that didn’t have a suitable Christmas track in their repertoire – he assigned them one, bundled them into his studio, and made them record it!
And we love him for that!
We love him even more though, because he’s allowing scandipop.co.uk to stream, and scandipop readers to listen to, clips of ALL of these brand new Christmas recordings that he’s responsible for. That’s 19 new tracks in total that make up the 67 song set. And they range from winter-esque balladry from the likes of Linda Pritchard, Lili & Susie, and Magnus Carlsson himself – to festive schlager fun from artists like Velvet, Towa Carson, and Ankie Bagger. Why it’s camper than Christmas itself!
The album doesn’t come out until November 23rd (and Magnus has included links to where you can purchase it from, over at his blog), but you can have a listen to the previews of the new tracks here and now.
