Finland’s UMK: The Winner!

Last night Finland decided on the song that it would be taking to Liverpool for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. It had a mighty-impressive line-up of 7 songs to choose from. But in the end, it proved to be no contest at all for the Finns voting at home. Landsliding the results with 539 points compared to the runner-up’s 152 points, it’s Käärijä who will represent Finland with his song ‘Cha Cha Cha’.

As if the song wasn’t batshit brilliant enough already, kudos to all involved for the ideas and execution that went into that staging. The deranged dancers being controlled by our demonic puppet-master. The human train. The tongue… Finland will be sending chaos out into the world in May. And it’s most likely going to be rewarded very highly when the votes come in.
