Finnish broadcaster YLE have already revealed the 7 artists who will be competing in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2023 – Finland’s Eurovision pre-selection which will take place on Saturday February 25th. The songs will be released one every day, for seven days, and today’s entry is Käärijä – ‘Cha Cha Cha’
Not so much a song, as two songs, stuck together. And not even in a subtle fashion, either – this is a case of one Eurovision-televote-friendly tune beginning just as another Eurovision-televote-friendly tune has ended, and all contained within the three-minute rule (pretty much the only rule it has followed). Chaos has most definitely entered the UMK chat – and striding in rather confidently, at that. Pigeons, meet cat:
