Finland got it very right last night as they picked Waldo’s People as their representative for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Moscow arena will be shaken to its foundations in May when ‘Lose Control’ is belted out in the manic manner that the group have perfected over the last few weeks.
It won 45% of the final vote in what was arguably Finland’s strongest ever national final. Not just the final show, but all three heats had excellent pop songs in them – up to half of which would have been perfect for Eurovision. Hopefully Sani, Riika, Passionworks, and Jari will try again next year, but for now, we’re looking forward to seeing how Eurovision takes to Waldo’s People. The best song won.
