Mohombi delighted his Mohomies this week, by premiering two brand new tracks that feature the good man himself.
First up is ‘Addicted’ which is a pretty intense and a pretty amazing interesting tune. It incorporates the stylings of around three sub genres of dance music which on paper sounds like a hot mess, but in practice is actually a really hot track. As well as featuring three dance genres, it also uses the talents of three vocalists – Craig David (yes, him), Greg Parys, and our own Mohombster, who gets top billing. It’s catchy, it’s cute, it’s popular to boot. Bring it on.
Next up is ‘Love 2 Party’ by Celia and our boy. This one is spiced strongly with a Romanian dance flavour. So much so, that in parts we wanted to shout out “Mandinga, EVERY DAY, Mandinga, zaleilah-lay-ay-ay-ay“. It also brings some dubstep to the table, which is never a bad dinner companion. In truth, it’s the production that’s the star here more so than the melody or the quite subdued vocals. But we love this sort of music, so the production alone is enough for it to get a thumbs up from us, Mohombi will undoubtedly be pleased to hear.
