Eurovision 2011: Those Norwegian Heat 3 songs in full….

The full version of the seven songs competing in this weekend’s third and final Norwegian Eurovision pre-selection heat are now online. We’ve had a listen, and we’re of the same opinion as we were after hearing the 30 second clips on Monday. There are two that we really like, and one that we like a fair bit.

Stella Mwangi hasn’t disappointed! Even though the best bit by far is the superb chorus, the whole thing is an enjoyable romp through African tinged pop. And we reckon that it might have the best performance of the whole contest, beating even Marika’s ‘Gipsy Dance’ last week!

Girl Happy are even better than we had hoped on Monday. The full song is thoroughly impressive. Fantastic melodies in both the music and in the topline. It’s even got a key change! It’s a bizarre cross between ‘indie’ and schlager. But it works very well to our ears. Schlagerindie…..hmmmmm.

Finally there’s Susperia with ‘Nothing Remains’. We don’t know how or why we seem to enjoy this kind of thing in the context of Eurovision, but we do. And we know it’s hard to believe that the same website which raved about this only yesterday, is now enjoying the below three minutes of whatever it is. But we do! And we’re especially looking forward to seeing the live performance.

You can listen to the other four songs competing, in full, at this person’s youtube channel.
