What’s this? The debut EP from one of our favourite Finnish artists that’s around right now. Rosi – ‘Kippis Mulle’.
What’s on it? Three previously released singles – which we’ve already raved about on these very pages – and three brand-new songs, for good measure.
What’s it like? In keeping with what we’ve already heard from the EP, the rest of it falls under that most majestic of genre umbrellas – fabulous disco-pop, modern electropop, and shamelessly camp pure pop. Every track is a shimmering delight, a saccharine-heavy treat.
Highlights of the new songs? They each offer something a little bit different to one another, under that aforementioned umbrella. But our personal fave would be the EP’s closing track – ‘Kuuhun Ja Takas’. It serves up the most dramatic of melodies and the most rhythmic of beats, all the while taking us on a neon-lit journey back to the ’80s.

You can find ‘Kuuhun Ja Takas’ on our Best New Synthpop playlist.
