What’s this? This is the self-titled debut EP from the Danish songwriting talent and artist Lise Cabble.
What’s on it? Two singles we’ve previously featured on here – ‘Tjekker Ind Og Ud’ and ‘Mellem Himmel & Jord‘ – plus three brand-new tracks.
What are the new tracks like? Mercifully, two in particular – ‘Himlen Over Vesterbro’ and ‘Du Alene Nu’ – are very much in keeping with the two excellent singles she’s released. They’re atmospheric electropop tunes with a large emphasis placed on having a dreamy production and with melodies that pull you in rather than jump out at you. It’s an EP of masterful composition, and one that we’re going to be revisiting a lot in the coming months – any time in which 13 minutes of sit-back-and-chill is required, most likely.
