We’ve quite enjoyed the musical stylings of Emmon this year. The dark lady of Swedish downbeat dance music has already left her mark on us in recent months with the single ‘Distance’, and her excellent gig on Nyhetsmorgon. And now she’s got another new single out and another dark video to accompany it.
Emmon herself takes a step back on new single ‘Slottet’, and allows her own vocals to play a supporting role to the real star of this song – the all conquering, attention commanding production! Made up of a collection of particularly loud and aggressive synths, it stomps all over the track like one of the monsters that might be found in the eerie woodland that acts as the set to the single’s dark and fright inducing video. Emmon clearly fancies having herself a bit of a rave, and sets about making it happen. We wanna come and dance too!
