Swedish songstress Edith Backlund has this morning premiered a brand new single online. It’s ‘Trouble’ and it’s released next week.
We’re liking it a lot already. Why? Well because it’s upbeat, jaunty, cheeky, and it’s got a fantastic melody to it (which especially comes to life during the chorus, as these things tend to). It’s a big bundle of joy, despite a protagonist tone of ‘tut tut’, finger wagging caution – another element that endears. And the whole thing has a distinctly retro flavour to it, like a lot of Edith’s musical output before it.
