Swedish super producer trinity Dream Beats have recruited British super pop trinity The Face, to front their brand new single ‘Love Stuck’.
Dream Beats, should you need reminding, were responsible for this gem last year, and are made up of Anders Hansson, and Felix Persson and Märta Grauers of Le Kid fame and notoriety. And The Face are a new pop act from the UK, all set to launch this year. And with quite a bang at that, we hope. Check out the three fabulous demos from their soundcloud page for an idea of just how excited you should be getting about these lot. And those three songs have actually been worked on by Anders, Felix, and Märta too, just so you know. Even more exciting, eh?
‘Love Stuck’ however, is the first official release of the fruits of their labour together. It’s a good old fashioned disco funk number, glossed over with a shiny new coating of pop. It’s straight forward and instant – which is very helpful for pop tarts like us. Although we have to say, as fantastic as the production and the melodies are, we’re equally as enamoured with the vocals that The Face provide here. We’re loving the sound of their voices – both individually and in unison.
It’s released this week in Sweden, and the rest of Europe will get it on July 15th.
The video is pretty cool. Retro chic crossed with sins of the flesh, and serving to introduce what a headfuck these The Face lot are going to turn out to be, stylistically.
