Last night David Lindgren took to his Facebook page to present what he called an Easter present to his fans. Basically, a cracking new tune. It’s ‘Move That Thing’ from his forthcoming album ‘Ignite The Beat’ (an extended version of the ‘Skyline’ EP that he released a few weeks back).
It’s a little bit amazing this. Early days, but potentially the best thing our David’s ever put his name to. Fast paced dance pop with a bit of flavour from both the 80s and the 90s. A stadium pop intro (composer Tony Nilsson’s best trademark) sets the tone for ‘Move That Thing’, and the punch that the song packs in those first few seconds, doesn’t ever really relent. The vocal delivery matches the turbo pace of the music too, thanks to some anchoring backing vocals – provided by the song’s other composer, none other than young squire Darin! “I’mBlessedSoBlessedI’mBlessed“.
David releases his ‘Ignite The Beat’ album in Sweden on April 3rd. However, if you live outside of Sweden you can already pre-order the album on CD from our store.
