It was Miss Li’s turn this week to have her tinkly tunes fiddled with on Så Mycket Bättre.
Darin selected and went with ‘I Can’t Get You Off My Mind’. And rather than putting his own stamp on the song like he has done with the songs from the previous two weeks of Så Mycket Bättre, he instead had a go at channeling Miss Li herself. The end result is us getting to hear Darin with a heavy layer of soul on his voice. It’s not like any Darin song we’ve heard before, so it speaks volumes for him as an artist, that we STILL love it to bits. Although the point of Så Mycket Bättre is to hear an artist take on someone else’s work, this is the first time we’ve really heard Darin go out of his comfort zone, and he absolutely excelled.

In other Darin news, he releases a brand new Greatest Hits album in Sweden next week. Well, we say HE releases it, actually it’s his old record label Sony Music – and it comprises their favourite cuts from his first four albums. Anyway, it’s available to pre-order in the Scandipop Store right now, for a measly £6.74. And all of his previous albums are around that price too. So if you’re falling in love with Darin all over again (or just discovering him) and fancy a bargainous splurge, well go right ahead.
