Ooooh, anthem of the dance variety alert! On top of the well known reputation they have around these parts for making excellent pop music, the Swedes also have a worldwide reputation for making tremendous house music! Eric Prydz is the reigning king of the genre, but there are also three producers who have long been in allegience with each other and have earned the unofficial monikor of ‘The Swedish House Mafia’. Axwell, Ingrosso, and Angello make the kind of happy, piano driven dance music that causes the serotonin in your head to seriously make its presence known! Phew! After years spent working together, they’ve now come up with the best track they’ve ever produced together – to our ears anyway. ‘Leave The World Behind’ makes you want to go out and dance, arms aloft, eyes closed, head slightly nodding, and with lots of people around you in the same frame of mind. And really, isn’t that the whole point of dance music? Have a look at the video (which in parts, particularly the end, looks like it’s modelled itself on a trailer for a horror flick!), and have a listen to the song, and try your best not to JUST EXPLODE at the 36 second point! Then again at 1 minute and 51 seconds!
