We stumbled across this rather spiffing tune from Norway earlier today. ‘The Beginning Of The End’, as its songstress Charlotte Qvale has titled it.
It’s the production that’s the big star here. An atmospheric electro riff that serves as the song’s intro and is repeated as a post-choruses throughout. It’s the melody of that which stays in your head afterwards. Listen for yourself – it’s those opening eighteen seconds of the song, streaming below.
That’s not to downplay Charlotte’s input though. Her contribution is a gorgeous vocal set to the bombastic production, the two elements complimenting each other perfectly. And if you like what you hear, check out her single from last year – ‘Kiss The Girls‘ too.
