The Ark have been going about their break-up in the most respectable and fan-friendly way possible. It’s all been very “yes we’re splitting up, but we’re telling you now so that you can enjoy these last few months with us, making the most of our remaining time together, and taking these songs for what they are – our triumphant swan songs”. And we like that approach! It’s the perfect way to end what’s been an almighty legacy.
They continued their farewell escapade yesterday morning on Swedish TV, when they dropped into the Nyhetsmorgon studios to perform the current single ‘Breaking Up With God’, the first TV performance of their amazing new song ‘The Apocalypse Is Over’, and then their classic ‘It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane’. As always with these gents, there was something quite special about the whole escapade, and things got especially touching during ‘The Apocalypse Is Over’ – it’s a beauty.
