Any new fans of Awa, thanks to the lush debut single ‘Not Ready To Say Goodbye‘, may (will) be interested to check out her contribution to SVT’s Alla Tiders Hits. The TV show that was supposed to rival Så Mycket Bättre, but sort of went under the radar somewhat, featured a host of well known Swedish artists covering other well known Swedish songs.
Awa was possibly the least well known at that stage, given that she’d yet to release anything since her win on X Factor a year earlier. But she took to the show and gave a confident, strut worthy performance of Lisa Nilsson’s ‘Varje Gång Jag Ser Dig’. Turning the song into a fierce electropop number with a key change, and thus driving it in the familiar direction of what is known as right-up-our-street.
