X Factor Sweden’s first, to date only, and probably last ever winner has FINALLY gotten around to releasing her debut single. The show was such a damp squib, the poor girl didn’t even get the standard winner’s single released. Now however, she launches a pop career with an absolute monster of a track that thankfully totally belies her forgotten beginnings. It’s Awa and ‘Not Ready To Say Goodbye’.
It’s a mega ballad with a touch of the LeonaLewisJordinSparksBeyoncéKnowles. Her voice isn’t anything like those three – she’s 16 and she sounds it. But the dramatic, piano lead, beat heavy ballad with a soaring melody is most certainly the stuff of the Big Guns. It’s epic, heart wrenching, and pretty much gutting! We’re in love.
‘Not Ready To Say Goodbye’ was written by three pop ‘heavyweights’ – Luke James (Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber), Paro (Paloma Faith, The Saturdays) and Joakim Olovsson (The Wanted, Loreen).
