Avicii has today finally dropped the video for his new single ‘Wake Me Up’, which is already one of the top three biggest hits of the year so far.

The video’s an odd one, this one. All the makings of a mildly interesting storyline, and some beautiful scenery and shots to go along with it. It could have been quite epic. But it was all executed with a limp, damp, sigh of boredom. A big ol’ visual meh. And so it turned out to be a bit rubbish instead. Wake me up when it’s all over indeed. Shame.
It’s all made slightly more interesting if you imagine that the triangle markings on the ‘outsiders’ are tattoos inspired by their love of Eric Saade and his brand logo.
