What a pairing!
The crown Prince of Swedish house music has teamed up with one of the most successful and popular male artists in recent years in Sweden. And the result? A dazzling showcase of the most epic kind of clubland music.
It’s not as unlikely a collaboration as you’d think, as Salem Al Fakir’s vocals have already appeared on a Swedish house floor filler of the past, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso’s ‘It’s True’. The combination worked well then and it works well now. Although as much as we love Salem’s input on the track, we have to say that it’s Avicii’s production which steals the show for us. It’s up there with two of his best – ‘Penguin’ and last year’s huge ‘Bromance’ which was under his Tim Berg moniker (his real name is Tim Bergling). It’s another piano house monster, with those tinkles of the piano keys feeling like they’re being tapped up your spine and into your head. Our favourite kind of dance music – pure euphoria.
Avicii is churning out productions just as fast as Salem Al Fakir was selling records last year, but this one sounds like it’s going to stick, and become quite the hit. It certainly deserves to anyway.
