A sporting event took place in Sweden last night. A gala sort of thing. We didn’t watch it of course – too much sport.
However, we knew that as with every year of Idrottsgalan, it’s worth checking out the clips of the music performances the next day. Last year we got Darin and Molly Sandén each performing at the event – and this year we got not just a special pairing, but a whole new trinity. Sonja Aldén, Linda Pritchard & Anna Sahlene got together to do a cover of ‘(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher’. Obviously it was a treat for the eyes and for the ears.
Personally though, we would have preferred solo turns from each of them. Linda Pritchard in a gown belting out her new club banger of a single ‘Wicked Game‘, Sonja doing her latest track ‘Närmre‘, and Sahlene – well just doing anything new really.
But we’ll take what we can get. And we got this enjoyable performance piece;
