So, this new Dream Beats featuring Alcazar track then. Last week we had the remix, and now Dream Beats have allowed scandipop.co.uk to upload an exclusive preview of the radio edit, which will be released soon.
And it’s here;
[audio:http://lowculture.co.uk/scandi/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Feel4U_RadioEditClip.mp3|titles=Feel4U_RadioEditClip]A little bit different to last week’s remix isn’t it?! We loved said remix, but we prefer the production on this new radio edit even more. Quite remarkably, as well as making it sound a bit more modern day disco, they’ve also managed to make it sound more retro too. There’s even a new Donna Summer ‘I Feel Love’-esque riff thrown into the mix, to match the name check that the song gets in ‘Feel 4 U’s lyrics! And you can’t hear them in the clip, but there’s an exciting intro, and a divinely dreamy middle eight too. It’s all a great deal meatier, which we like. If there’s any justice, Dream Beats, Alcazar, and ‘Feel 4 U’ will be soundtracking Scandinavia this summer – it’s an infectiously joyful party tune, undeniably so.
The video still isn’t ready, but Dream Beats assure us that it’ll be finished soon. We think the delay is actually a good thing though – they’re clearly in the midst of making something of a fabulous audio-visual treat, and it’s heartening to know that it’s not being rushed together. Although of course our expectations are even higher now!
As we mentioned before, this is only the start of the Dream Beats project, and there’ll be more music from the high calibre team of Anders Hansson, Märta Grauers, and Felix Persson, with a different vocalist each time, following ‘Feel 4 U’. It’s a concept which we’re very much on board with, and a potential musical output that we’re very much looking forward to.
